MINIXTEC Red Light Therapy Mask for Face

I’ve really been enjoying this Red Light Therapy Mask by MINIXTEC as part of my nightly skincare routine. With 276 LEDs and multiple light options, it feels like a premium device rather than a basic light mask. I especially like having red, blue, amber, and 850nm near-infrared settings available, since it gives me the flexibility to focus on different aspects of my skin depending on what I’m needing.

The built-in controller is convenient, since there’s no separate control box to keep track of or accidentally misplace. The wireless design makes it easy to move around while using it, and the 10-minute sessions are easy to fit into my routine. I also appreciate the included eye protection, which helps block light around my eye openings and makes the experience much more comfortable.

Overall, this has been a convenient and relaxing device that does seem to improve my skin when used consistently over time. The mask is easy to use, doesn’t require much time, and feels like a nice way to give my skin some extra attention at home. I particularly like the different light modes, cordless design, built-in controls, and eye protection, which make the whole experience feel simple yet luxurious. I consider it reasonably priced given the high quality and results, so I would certainly recommend.

I have a lot of RLT devices. I could pretty much cover myself from the tip-top of my head all the way to the soles of my feet in red light, at this point. Prior to getting this, I used a RLT lamp when at home, and a RLT wand when I'm traveling. I was super excited to get a dedicated mask.

My hope was that it would be as useful while I'm working at my desk as my RLT eye mask is; that the eye pieces would help keep the red light away from my eyes. I had gotten a different mast at first (different brand) and it did not block any of the light from getting to my eyes, so while it was good, it wasn't usable when WFH at my computer because I had to keep my eyes closed when wearing it. This one was better than that one, but not as good as I hoped.

As you can see in my usage photo, the red light leaks out all over the place. This limits when I will use it. I can't use it when my pup or cat are roaming in the room, because they also shouldn't be looking directly in the light (my Dr and the Vet confirmed this when I started using my lamp). I also can't use it while working from home, like I wanted, because of the amount of light in my eyes.

Fortunately, you don't have to use these for a very long time each session, so I turn on a podcast and keep my eyes closed while wearing this. The little silicone eye pieces to help keep some of the light away, so it's certainly good enough when using it like that.

All things considered, I'm happy with this (hence the 5 stars). Because of how I want to use this, if I needed ot purchase another RLT mask, I probably wouldn't get this one again; I'd keep looking until I found something closer to my needs (closer to what it looks like in the product picture).
